use up all my special attacks for each weapon, dodge for the time slowdowns, wait for the next parry or for the specials to cool down, then repeat. i feel like if the bosses had a more variety of attacks I wouldn’t mind, but most times i’m just waiting for the same 2-3 attack patterns :/ it just feels grindy to me rather than feeling
Instead, do R1 -> L1 -> R1 -> L1 -> repeat. (Note your bindings might be different but for me R1 = Light Attack, R2 = Heavy Attack, L1 = Block). Doing this results in your animation cancelling your attacks with blocks, greatly increasing your safety and damage. You can see the difference in attack speed between mashing R1 and L1 + R1 animationI would rank them (easiest to hardest): 5. God of War: Ghost of Sparta 4. God of War Ascension 3. God of War III 2. It's harder, but for the wrong reasons. In DS enemies have relatively big moveset and do a lot of damage, but don't have a lot of HP. In GoW enemies have 1-2 moves (rarely 3) and have a ton of HP. And axe upgrade looked good on numbers but had zero impact on the combat. While in souls each upgrade feels meaningful.
